About Me
I grew up outside of Chicago. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University. I then taught environmental education for six years. This experience made me realize that I wanted to work with children outdoors and indoors everyday! I went back to school and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado. I taught in the computer lab before I moved to first grade at Kruse.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, especially with my husband and dog (Bug). I can be found hiking, biking, xc skiing, gardening, and taking care of my chickens.
I love teaching and especially enjoy the passion and enthusiasm for learning that children have!
